Deathcare Empowerment
Starts Here!
Starts Here!
Death impacts all of us, but members of communities like ours may lack the circumstantial knowledge or financial means to navigate the deathcare industry.
Through The Ormega Project, we empower individuals to take control of their end-of-life arrangements while building a stronger, more connected community.
Connect, chat, win prizes, and learn more about our work by visiting the Ormega Project booth at Early Settlers Day!
August 1st @ 8am
La Junta City Park
Before we began our work, it was important for us to fully understand the needs of our community as they relate to deathcare knowledge & affordability.
Through a survey made available to the community we serve, we analyzed the results to ensure that what we do is not only needed, but effective.

"Established" between 1900 and 1920, Ormega Cemetery has been neglected for more than a century, and though there are more than 100 individuals interred at Ormega, records and maps are non-existent.
Together with a group of volunteers, The Ormega Project is working to restore & conserve Ormega Cemetery in a way that ethically preserves its history and memorializes those buried in its soil.
The Ormega Project is currently researching and sourcing programming opportunities that meet the needs of our community members, such as: information sessions, presentations, and local partnerships.
